Hi, early intermediate here, and I want to learn 1-3 jazzy Christmas songs, and I figure I should start now if I want to have a chance of being able to play them well by Christmas.

I have spent some time already looking for some on just Google and YouTube, but I haven't had much luck finding this specific combo of jazzy and early intermediate.

So, I was hoping for some recommendations!

To give you an idea where I am at, I am currently working on Sometimes When It Rains arranged by Bennedsen (
)
and Nocturne in Em by Hellbach (
)
and Arabesque.

Thanks!

Have you tried "A Charlie Brown Christmas"? The songs were by Vince Guaraldi including "O Christmas Tree", "Chestnut Song", "Christmas Time is Here", "Linus & Lucy". There is a version for easy piano and one at an advance level.

I will check it out, but my memory tells me that's still too hard.

There is the regular edition and the "Easy Piano" edition. I tried some of the songs from the easy edition: "Hark the Harald Angel Sings", "Skating", "Chestnut song" & "Christmas Time is Here". Playable. Other songs like "Linus & Lucy" from the easy edition is a shortened version. "O Christmasmas Tree" has top & bottom section. Top section is doable. Bottom section is Jazzier and a bit more challenging.

Hi

It would be worth you having a look in the non-classical section, as RinTin is posting 30 arrangements of Christmas tunes between now and Christmas.

Cheers
