It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
It wasn't too slow for my taste or much slower than most performances except for the part before vocal melody comes in. I think you did play that slower than the rest of piece which wasn't too my taste because of the tempo change. Everything else I found excellent!
I do slow down slightly before the entrance of the "voice", and then of course it's a bit flexible in the tempo. I'm not sure I'd call it a different tempo, but that's maybe just me. I guess it depends on ones preferences.
Haki, it might have been you I meant when I wrote that someone might think it's too slow 😁😁 But thank you for listening anyway, it's very nice of you!

My impression was that the entire section, starting at the beginning of the piece until the entrance of the voice, was played at a slower tempo. IOW not just that you slowed down slightly before the entrance of the voice.
Another day, another upload. Iv've felt very productive recently, despite covid. Here is another piece, from another church.
This time it's the beautiful May the Sheep Safely Graze from Bach's BWV 208, transcribed by Egon Petri.
It's probably too slow for some of you, but hopefully a few of you will enjoy this recording!
I think you did a very good job with the work. Nice voicing of the melody.
I also think the tempo is bit a big deal or a major departure from the norm. It’s within the reasonable level. I’ve seen performances of this piece that push 6 minutes. Some people’s sheep graze faster than others. Some people’s sheep take their time. Either way, the sheep grazed safely here. Good job.
Maybe just follow the metronome marking on the score?
It's a piece written for a cometely different setting, in completely different times. What would a metronome mark actually show? And what does any mark actually show? For which room was the tempo written? For what artist and for what temperament?
The score is a guide, not an exact map where you have to follow every step to the centimetre... if it was, what would be the point? You put the score in a computer, and then you'd have the one and only interpretation.
Listening as I write. I can see how some might find the tempo slow, but it doesn’t trouble me. I like this interpretation. Nice use of rubato. Takes years to play with this level of assurance. Recorded in a church or hall? And what piano?
Here’s a pianist whose performance clocks in just under 6 minutes, a slower tempo than the OP’s. I think this slower tempo is no less beautiful than the faster versions.
The OP’s tempo is fine. Stately, peaceful, and contented sheep. Very nicely voiced.

Thank you! It was recorded in a church, on a somewhat neglected steinway.

Thank you, I'm happy you like it!
You’re very welcome.
Also my original reply was meant to say “”I also don’t think the tempo is a big deal or a major departure from the norm”. Typing too fast.
I have no quibbles at all with the tempo of this performance. I concentrated more on the well-controlled voicing and the overall beauty of this performance.
