I'm looking at buying a used Suzuki Spinet fp-s in good condition which is posted for $400 CAD ($300 USD). However, I'm having trouble finding any information about this instrument online, including even how old it is. Does anyone know anything about this piano? Is that a fair price? It looks like a quite nice instrument, but again I have no idea when Suzuki was making these, and don't know much about the quality of Suzuki keyboards.

Thanks!
Luke

I found this bit of information at https://picclick.com/Suzuki-Spinet-digital-piano-FP-S-232295871448.html

"Originally paid $2,200 Barely used, purchased in 2006."

So that guy bought his in 2006, seventeen years ago.
A piano that old has very little value.

Nice looks, probably mediocre and outdated tech.

The question shouldn't be is $300 a fair price, but instead would the FP-S be useful as something beyond a nice piece of furniture.

(Unless of course you just want a nice piece of furniture.)

Yes, that was a bit blunt. 😀

It has 88 keys and it makes sounds, so it will work as a piano substitute even if it isn't the best one in the universe.

There's this piano sales guy/reviewer who hasn't been impressed by Suzuki digital pianos: https://azpianonews.blogspot.com/20...s-mdg400-review-digital-grand-piano.html
