Hi,

I am familiar with his Sonatina op. 100, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooIswYG-uAw which is not too hard to play. Does anyone here know of any other work of his, that is similar in difficulty, some of his more serious compositions are really very hard to play smile

I am also not sure where does Kapustin fit in, jazz it is not, classic it is not, it seems to me to be somewhere in-between.

sorry, I don't know any of the "easier" pieces from Kapustin, but thank you so much for this link, I didn't even know that Kapustin had composed "easier" pieces smile I hope somebody is able to give further titles.

This Prelude, played by a PW member, is considerably harder than the Sonatina but still not nearly as hard as many of Kapustin's works.

My guess is that some of the other Preludes are on this level or even easier.
