Hi y'all. I'm looking suggestions for some piano duets that can be play comedically, a la Victor Borge. Some in advanced level and also some in low to mid intermediate level please.

thank you.

C.S. Theme and Variations by Randall Compton for advanced players. It is a lot of fun to play and funny for the audience too! :-)

The Poulenc 4-hand Piano Sonata has some comedic touches built right in, although it isn't intended to be laugh-out-loud hilarious as a main theme. Also, you might check out Peter Schickele's music -- PresserSchirmer is the publisher of his music.

Okie,

Cause I'm composing a set of 7 (possibly 8) works for piano duet (quatre mains) but it won't be available until Sep... That's why I'm asking...

My favorite novelty duet:

"If we continually try to force a child to do what he is afraid to do, he will become more timid, and will use his brains and energy, not to explore the unknown, but to find ways to avoid the pressures we put on him." (John Holt)

Oh, and that's an arrangement by this guy, who's got some other clever stuff as well:

Find one more person (preferably small) and you can play W.F.E. Bach's "Dreyblatt".

Can you get these tones from a piano?

May need the backing "group"!
