Not that I'm keeping track ha but the number of "Dislikes" on a youtube video of mine went down.

I thought Likes and Dislikes were like your age grin -- they only go up.

(Can you un-like or un-dislike stuff?? Just wondering....)

I had actually tried a little 'experiment' to see if that's so. I went and "Liked" a random video (didn't want to do a "Dislike," even for scientific purposes) ha and then looked to see if I could undo it -- and I didn't see that I could.

You should be able to undo the "dislike". I think if you "like" or "dislike" a video it saves the information of who voted and you can go back and change your vote.

There is a big difference between knowing something and being good at executing. One is conscious, the other is subconscious, and the path to the subconscious does not usually lead through the conscious.

Interesting....because I haven't gotten a "dislike" in a real long time. I wouldn't have thought that someone who "disliked" something a year ago (or whatever) would care enough to come back and un-dislike it.

Just goes to show, you never can tell about anything. [Linked Image]

I don't know because I don't have an account so I cannot experiment, but it could be that a dislike disappears also when somebody closes their YouTube account?

If you would really like to be disliked, I would like to dislike you.

(Not really, of course. I just like to dislike everyone, whether I like them or not!)

Here's the method: Click on your username (which is found at the right top of YouTube), then click on "Video Manager", and then on "Likes". A list of videos will appear, and you can delete them there (in other words, remove your likes).

YouTube has no such list for disliked videos (as far as I know), so you have to visit the video in question, click on the "I like this" button, and then use the method described in the above paragraph.

Wow, pretty elaborate. I wouldn't think anyone would bother.

BTW, somehow and for whatever reason, the "Dislikes" are back to the lowered number. [Linked Image]

If I click dislike a video, I can still later click "like." Dislike will go down one and like will go up one.

Yup -- that's it. (Thanks!) Must be what it was.
I tried it on a random video, and it worked.

Yes but can you return it to the original "no opinion"?
