Hello, I'm trying to decide between a Kawai kdp110, and a yamaha CLP-635, in my country, both of them are like the only 2 available from good brands, and at this time I can't go visit the store and try them myself, which is why I'm looking for opinions between these two. I know that it is not a "reasonable" comparison considering the price and lineup range, but as I said those are the only 2 available. Also I don't really care about looks so that shouldn't be a deal breaker for me. So pretty much Im looking for opinions specifically in the action and piano sound. I know the kdp110 has the RCHII action, and the yamaha the GH3X. So between those 2 actions which one is better for you??, despite their own place in each brand range. And also, the second area is the piano sound, which has the richer and greater piano sound? I know the yamaha has 2 piano sounds, but still in youtube videos I found the sound coming from the kdp110 a little bit crispier and clearer. So what is your opinion? Thanks so much for the help. Greetings from Perú! blush

Does the store not have the CLP-735 yet?

No it doesn´t, and I don't think they will for a very long time :/, so those are my main 2 options primarily

I have tried both.

Very generally I think, Yamaha has the snappier action, Kawai is a lot softer and gives more freedom.

What’s the price difference in your country? The 635 is better, but your budget, ability level, and personal preference matter...

I have a lab full of 635s that have proven to be durable and well liked by the students. The only shortcoming I have found is the inability of the USB hub to charge an iPad. It just doesn’t have enough power.

Thanks for the reply, what do you think about the tone?

The difference is 500 dollars, but both are inside my budget. I'm a begginer and I just love the kawai tone, not saying yamaha clp635 tones are bad, I just prefer kawai's, but as I am no expert, I was wondering which of the action of these 2 pianos is better, for a begginer, and well the main features that sets one apart from the other in terms of which is better. That's why I'm mainly relying on personal opinions from different people smile

This is isn't even a question, go for the Yamaha Clavinova and leave the barebones KDP for someone else.
