Playing a great piano right after it has been voiced, regulated, and fine tuned.

It puts everything else to shame. wink

I love change of temperature. Going from hot to cold or cold to hot.

Hey Patty, I knew we had something in common!

Waking up early on a weekend, and realizing there's utterly no need to get out of bed.

Starting a good book on a quiet evening.

Pitching a tent in a new campsite.

Looking into the eyes of someone I love.

Getting into the second round of a competition with Laura (always more thrilling than the finals).

Someone running their fingers through my hair, over and over... and over... and... zzzzz...

Cuddling with my girlfriend and watching some Fawlty Towers or Monty Python's Flying Circus on a rainy Saturday morning. For some reason, that is the ultimate peaceful situation for me.

Snuggled up on the couch in the evening watching a movie with someone I love. These days, that's my three year old, but still...

Kreisler, yours reminded me. One of my other fave things is when you leave an overly-AC'd building in the summer and are already feeling chilly. Sitting down in your car and letting all that dry heat envelop you, the hot car seat relaxing all those muscles you held tense because you were chilly.

Aaaaah. I love that!

I'm serious. Good thing I live in AZ. cool thumb

I've never done this but I first heard of it when I was still living in NH. I had a co-worker who used to tell us about leaving the sauna and running out and jumping into the snow!! She said it was GREAT.

Which also paves way for another noteworthy pleasure: greeting your genitalia as it re-emerges a few hours later.

I was born the year Glenn Gould stop playing concerts. Coincidence?
