Thanks Plays. Someday we'll meet and hit it off instantly.

Kenny, surely you remember the falling out I had with kathyk. That's why I said "even kathyk".

Thanks Mark! I finally have stars!!! This is the first time EVER. This is truly a monumental event!

Chickgrand, I'm still furious about corporate greed - you don't want to get me started especially if we are all trying to be good!

I haven't been here long, but I think this development is a pity.

Off topic forums are a good way of getting to know people better, which helps you communicate with them better when you need to talk about the real topic (i.e. pianos).

I don't know of a succesful bb that doesn't have an 'off topic' area for people to chat about other things in.

Off topic items will just leak into other forums and spoil them.

Still, as someone said earlier, the man who runs the forum is the boss; he can run his forums any way he wants.

All we can do is decide whether we stay or leave!

Not sure whose noses you're referring to, but it's a nice bunch of people over in PC. Once in a while we get someone a little snotty, but that's the exception. Overall, people try to be helpful.

I agree. PC was my first PW experience, and I always enjoy going over there and reading the threads. Its a good group, and quite the opposite of snotty, some of those dialogues I've wondered why so much help for such a stupid question? (I guess that would make me a snot smile )

I stand corrected then.

I've read a bit there, and have only responded to a few things.

I guess I just haven't had a lot in common with most of the performers there, probably more a statement of my lack of ability, than their snotty nature.

I apologize.

I haven't read this entire thread. I've only read the first few posts as I find this just a tad depressing. I'll go back and read it after I get this initial thought off my chest.

I will always hold dear in my heart the doctors that contributed in helping my parents. I may not have responded as quickly as I did in getting my dad to that second hospital if it wasn't for bachophile's post. For all the fighting that goes back and forth there are a lot of dear people here that I will miss. Anyhow, thank you, bachophile for your rapid response to my plea for help and thank you Johnmoonlight for always being there. That helped prompt me to post it.
I wish I could kiss you both. (As a friend of course.)

Peggy

Aside to Jolly: If you're still around I'd like to say you've been a great friend to me. I'll always appreciate your emotional support and the fact that you've been their as a sounding board in my times of need.

Now I'm going to go be a little sad. Have a cup of tea.

Well carp.

To those of you leaving: I will miss you all a great deal. You all have become a sort of second family to me over the past few years. frown

I was always able to wonder into the coffee room and find something to make me smile or laugh. I'll miss that too. frown

Maybe we can start a yahoo forum and reunite there?

Frank, thank you for letting us hang out here for as long as you have. You're good people to have put up with us for so long.

BTW, when the CR goes, does that just mean it will be locked and we can no longer post on it, or that every single thread and post we've ever had in here is gone and lost forever, and we'll never be able to read them again? (Hoping for read-only status over gone and lost forever status...)

If I give you a fiver, will you let me play your Bosie? smile

Gosh I step away for a while and find this when I check back in. Very sad - even though I don't post a lot here I love all the info I've picked up as well as some friendships. I will be very sad to see this room go by the wayside. Doc - how will I get my massage now frown

I don't post often; I don't follow all the threads; people don't "know" me as well as they know Apple or KathyK or a lot of the other regulars...

But still...this is gut wrenching for me. frown
I feel like a kid who has to give up a favorite toy. frown frown

You guys have no idea how much you have given me or how much I've learned from the CR.

I hope this isn't the end of our relationships...
