What's everyone's gripe with posting a link to a new forum?

This isn't competition with Frank... Frank has asked us to leave (those of us only here for the CR I mean). Jgoo and Larry were nice enough to try to give us a place to go.

And if y'all want something short and easy to remember, try http://www.Coffee-Room.com/

That's Coffee-DASH-Room-DOT-com -- it just redirects you to jgoo's.

He does eek

Kenny, tell us ALL about this thing. Do you have to plug it in each night. Does it run on batteries or gas? How many MPG do you get. I'm thinking about a new car and have $20K to burn. This thing sounds interesting.

What's your recommendation?

Quick, man quick. Tell me before the plug is pulled here.

I use guitars when I need traction under my wheels in the winter. I find they mostly splinter - but then dig in and work well getting me through the snow.

I am sure they work a lot better than a piano.

I'll have to give that a try.

I would like guitars if they had as many strings as pianos.. as is, one is limited as to what one can do. My old guitar is now a wall hanging in the boys' room.

Does anyone know if jgoo's site needs emails? or if email accounts are "blind" if you register?

Thx!

I posted this on another thread, and I hate to be a downer (I'm hoping, that's the opposite of how you all see me), but ...

How can we attract new people at jgoo's place? There the CR becomes a club, not an open forum where people come and go as they please (an atmosphere that brings diversity of opinion and topic). Come on. If we're just the same ole people discussing the same ole thing, won't it get stale? (unless, of course, we're discussing gardening, chocolate, movies or TV wink )

That's an excellent point. The CRs proximity to the piano forums was essential to providing the stream of people. If the new CR is able to attract new people, it would most likely be of the general internet variety, which as we've all seen, is very pedestrian.

We should do a very active member ship drive, leave messages in boxes. It will help if we start with a bang. Maybe a super hot topic would be in order.. maybe the one about the lady McDonald's customer who was burned by COFFEE.

Pleez I need my question answered. It's important that I keep my email blind, so I can't sign up for jgoo's if emails become public after you register.

I could create a dummy account on hotmail or yahoo, but then people couldn't email me. Does it work like here?
