Thank you one and all for giving me some insight on the Suzuki brand of digital pianos. Music does seem to bring out passionate responses!!
I've made my way over to two dealers today and for $3000 cdn with taxes and delivery included; these are my three options:

New Yamaha CLP - 240
Used Yamaha CVP - 201
New Roland KR - 103

They are willing to give the 1 year waranty for the used CVP model from 2002. I have to admit that I am a tad bit taken with the interactive features that the used Yamaha and the Roland offer.
I was trying to look up the specs for the CVP model on the yamaha website but the model does not seem to be listed, is that a bad sign??
I need to make a decison real soon so please, please, PLEASE HELP.
Thanks in advance for the advice

Personally, being a Roland Guy,

I wholeheartedly reccommend the Roland KR103 over each of the other two models you mentioned.
This is for two reasons.

1) It's a new piano.

2) You mentioned you enjoyed the arranger features or this and the CVP-201.

I don't know anything about the Yamahas you mentioned.

But I can tell you that the KR-103 is very very sweet.

I had a chance to play a Suzuki this evening. Let's just say that you've made a wise decision of staying away from it.

Sara,

Any time you have a choice in purchasing a NEW digital piano, you should move in that direction. Both new digitals (Roland or Yamaha) are state-of-the-art technology and you can't go wrong with either.

However, if you're looking for a full ensemble instrument, then Roland is the way to go. The Yamaha CVP 201 is not listed on Yamaha's web site because it is no longer "current" technology. The CLP 240 is a new line (Fall, 2005). BUt this does not give you the ensemble features that the Roland will offer.

Good luck! And, GOOD decision to move away from Suzuki.

in my personal oppinion the Yamaha CLP-240 ist the better piano, but the KR-103 has more Features - it depends what you want to do.

Cheers, Bit
