A digital stage piano with an expanded sound set based on the flagship Motif ES (228MB), a new piano sample (53MB), new effects, mLan support, 3 slots of PLG expansion AND support for half damper pedaling.

I never thought that Yamaha would build a synth that could/would compete against the P series digital pianos but it looks like they've gone way beyond that. Anyone looking for a stage piano should seriously consider this one. This blows a P series out of the water in all ways EXCEPT the keyboard action which is BH and not GH.

Price is ~$2099 USD (comparable to the Roland RD-700SX)

My Yamaha P-250's acoustic piano's and action are highly superior. The DSP is dedicated to the piano samples.

The S90ES is a synth.
The P-Series wins hands down when comparing piano features.

I like the price of the P- series stage pianos myself. Though I haven't tried the P-250; just the P-90 and P-80.

But if I had the money I'd could find room for that Motif board, but it is too pricey right now for my budget.

I tried them (except for the P-250) at the Guitar "boxstores"; although to be honest I never get enough time to try the boards out before the "noise mongers" come in and turn up the volume levels up past uncomfortable.

I have my own weapon of mass destruction in the form of a "teenage" German Shepherd. Anything she spies and can get ahold of is fair game.
