My father in Springfield Ohio (southwest to central part of state is looking for a tech to do repairs on his mother's M&W player grand mechanism, circa 1925.

It seems that techs who know the older player systems are fewer and farther between these days. All the ones I knew are either very old or no longer with us.

Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Hi Michael:
I only know of two player techs in Cincinnati. Harry Garrison at the Player Piano Shop, and Ron Wiehmeir (sp?). I don't know if Harry is still doing anything or not. His store never looks open. From what I hear, Ron is very good.

BTW: I tried to reply to your PM last week, but your box was full.

Roy, thanks - I will empty out some PMs today. Sorry about that.

Wasn't Harry's shop in Obryonville? I used to work next door at Chateau Pomije's wine shop. He was pretty long of tooth then in the early 90's.

I'll look into Ron.

Ron is on the west side. Price Hill or Delhi.

Harry had two stores. One in O'Bryonville and one downtown. The downtown store is on Main St. around the corner from the Aronoff Center. I do the work at the Aronoff, so I go by it all the time. He does advertise in the classified section of the Enquirer occasionally, so he is still doing something. He is trying to sell pianos at least.
