Totally agree. Will be interesting to see what upgrades they have in this one. Or ----- downgrades hehe.

Very mellow and full sound, the high notes are just a little too bright…

Unlike the Kawai and Roland competitors, the P125a can actually power a boat through water.

The main differences between the P-125a and P125a are raw power and 'action'.

just gearing up to be disappointed... if we expect nothing, it will hurt less when they announce it's horrible and costs more $$. tired

It is the instrument of choice if you like to shred.

The motor boat engine has smoother dynamic progression smile

It has key-off samples
https://au.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/pianos/p_series/p-125a/specs.html#product-tabs
But interestingly Midi has a - which seems to imply no. Surely there is USB midi?
Also no mention of USB audio (but this was left out in the P125 specs even though it has it).

if it was in engine, i don't think they'd take it out.

The P125A has a much bigger sound engine than the P-125a. Also, the action of the P125A can be dangerous - especially for new and inexperienced users. Dangerous to fingers - and can even potentially remove fingers.

like dgx670 with less buttons ? I might be shot for saying this, but I thought the dgx670's main piano sounded fake as heck listening up close.

Apparently the P125A has something to do with climate change: https://www.engine-codes.com/p125a.html

AS far as I can tell the only difference from the P-125a to the older P-125 is the addition of both Key-off Samples and String Resonances.
The specs are on this (Australian) site https://au.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/pianos/p_series/p-125a/specs.html#product-tabs
Hopefully they are keeping the USB midi and USB audio features.
My biggest gripe with the P125/121 are the short sample lengths followed by some unrealistic looping.

And to keep the humour alive here is an example of the looping.

The p-125 (no A) has both string resonance and key off samples listed as features...
