Hi All,

I was doing some testing and I found 2 ways to further reduce the latency with ASIO4ALL.
First step is easy. You can reduce the latency compensation in the advaced settings in ASIO4ALL to zero samples.
The second step is edit the registry to reduce to 32 buffer size. Normally ASIO4ALL is limited to 64 buffer size. I also tried 16 buffer size, but I got no sound.
This will probably only work for anyone with a fast PC.

This was my original latency before any changes:

To edit the registry (DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!):

1. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ASIO4ALL v2 by Wuschel
2. You will see in that folder some subfolders. The subfolders are the music software (standalone VST, sequencer, etc.) you have settings for, in ASIO4ALL
3. Inside those subfolders there are further subfolders. Those are the settings for each sound card for that particular software.
4. If you can't find your specific sound card, you canjust change all of them. I managed to find my sound card easilly because it was the only was with 64 buffer size.
5. Change the buffer size for each software for your sound card to 32 by changing the Decimal value to 32 as in below example.

when you get no sound it means the cpu isn't able to complete the operation in time.

If your samples are 44.1kHz & 16 bit, you might eek out slightly better performance matching those settings in ASIO4ALL as the CPU would have less work.

I was using Cubase to check the latency. It's not part of ASIO4ALL.
