I am having to downsize my piano footprint to a vertical piano.

One option here is trading for a new Baldwin B252. Another is trading for a Ritmüller Premier (whatever their tallest vertical is). Any comments about the comparative quality of these two brands and their top of the line vertical pianos?

The Chinese Baldwins that I have run across have been fine pianos. I have only seen one Ritmüller, which was well built, but I thought it was not as good as the couple of Baldwins. However, that was some time ago, and Chinese pianos have improved very quickly. I suggest you try them both and decide which you prefer. In the end, your preference is what matters.
