I've used the Yamaha Smart Pianist app to do all the above but mainly record my playing. A good alternative for recording is the free Audacity software. With my small Windows Tablet PC and a USB cord (nothing else) from my Yamaha P121 it just works with no bother (though I did download the Yamaha Steinberg ASIO driver). One thing I still not sure about is that when I recorded a second track the added audio was on top of the original recording rather than separate so once happy with it I needed to delete the original track. I just didn’t but an iPad because I needed a convertible Laptop. So the tablet won out. I’ll take a look at audacity. Yamaha P515 Steinway A2
