Hi everyone!

I need some recommendations for EASY pieces for CM level 7 and 9. I recently started teaching sisters whose mom is very pushy and just wants them to hurry and pass certificate of merit as fast as possible.
The problem is they have very little musical talent and are being forced by their parents to learn. crazy frown
So I need help finding the easiest possible piece in level 7 and 9.

So far for level 9, I have Liszt consolation and Shostakovich prelude no 21. I’m in need of baroque and classical period.

For level 7, I only have Satie Gymnopedie no.1 and having a hard time finding baroque, classical and 20th.

I would love some suggestions, thank you so much!!

The easiest CM piece cheat piece of all: Leonard Bernstein's anniversary "To Susana Kyle".

It's about one page, slow tempo, easy texture -- LEVEL 10!! Off the top of my head I can't think of an exact classical one, but check out slow/minuet moments to Mozart and Haydn Sonatas.

Have a look at this website, used in the UK by music students looking for suitable rep to play for their state music exams. The levels are based on the ubiquitous ABRSM/Trinity exam boards' grading system.

It looks like CM levels are similar to RCM's.
To convert: CM = RCM = ABRSM x 1.25
As you can see, the Satie is level 6 in this classification, therefore look at other pieces at the same level to find what you want:

"I don't play accurately - anyone can play accurately - but I play with wonderful expression. As far as the piano is concerned, sentiment is my forte. I keep science for Life."
