I'm sure this has been discussed here, but has anyone watched the anime Forest of Piano? It's on Netflix. When we still lived in Japan, I read the manga years ago (only the first several books, I didn't finish the story). But we joined Netflix recently (I know, years after everyone else on the planet), I've been watching stuff while on the treadmill. And so I've started watching the anime version of the Forest of Piano.

It's so much more fun than the manga -- because of all the great piano music, which of course doesn't work that way in the manga.

This is sort of embarrassing, but I actually had my husband make a photoshop version of the main cover image from the manga. Here's the manga:

ShiroKuro, I love the picture of you playing in the forest! If I were you, I would print and frame it, and hang it in your piano room.

Playing the piano is learning to create, playfully and deeply seriously, our own music in the world.

I came across 'Forest of Piano' a couple of years ago while searching Netflix for anything related to pianos. I'd never seen anime, and didn't think I'd like it - but found that I couldn't stop watching it.

Loved your 'photo'! heart

Hello for those whom liked Forest of the piano, you should also try 'Your lie in april', it is also an anime with great classical music (piano) and has a good storyline.

Thank you for saying that Animisha, I wasn't sure if I should share that photo or not! grin

MarieJ, yeah, I'm enjoying it more than I expected to. Plus I've forgotten a lot of details from the books, so that's convenient for enjoying it! laugh

Ay9293, I watched the first part episode 1 of Your Lie in April but the story was such a slow start, I had to turn it off! I had the same reaction to "Liz and the Bluebird," which is an anime movie, not TV series, about two girls in a school band. I only watched about half of that one. I usually only watch these shows while I'm on the treadmill, so I need something with lots of "action" -- which I mean in a loose way. The Forest of Piano has a lot of "action" in that regard, IOW the story moves along at a good clip.

I'll probably go back to Your Lie in April though, I want to know how the story goes.

I'm so glad you did, that was a lovely photoshop mockup.
