I still can't figure out what makes the keys feel like they are heavier in some VSTs.

The velocity curve has some impact in that, but I have a feeling that it is more psychoacoustic, than actually having to press harder.
Maybe it's a combination of a few things, like velocity curve, how loud key noises are, tone of the piano when pressing harder vs when pressing softer, etc?

Have any of you guys figured it out?

Yes. The velocity curve will also alter the tonal feel; if it sounds soft, it plays sluggishly. My music teacher's upright was very softly spoken and heavy to play whilst my upright was bright, loud, and easy on the fingers. Most acoustics these days are bright sounding especially compared to digitals, but even digitals are going that way more now.
Keep it bright, lad! Keep it bright!

Turn your volume up so that the digital piano is as loud as a very nice grand. Your touch will automatically ease up as you get used to what a real (albeit sampled) sounds like when played mP.

I had better results with vsts when i messed up with the velocity curve and, mainly, velocity gain(some vsts call it dynamics)

Having a lot more dynamics with soft touch....
