Ok, I've been tuning pianos (using TuneLab), and doing minor repairs on
them for about 8 years, mostly part-time, but today I ran into something
I've never had to do before: Replacing a missing black keytop.

This is on C#3. The keytop is missing, and the glue is all that you can see, on top of the bare key wood. So how do you all find a matching black keytop, that will be the same material as the other sharp keytops?
This is on a Young Chang G-150 (a rather nice piano, for being only 5 feet long!). And what is your process to glue the keytop on?

Additionally, one of the lid hinges was also missing! This was the hinge closest to the player. Looking at the location of the hinge, it really makes me wonder how this hinge could have worked it's way loose! So where can I find a suitable replacement hinge?

And if I were to have a full-time professional piano technician do this work, what would a fair market price be for each of these jobs? This would be done in the Los Angeles area.

Thanks for any positive feedback!

You could ask the distributor if those parts could be supplied. Young Chang has been through some changes, so there is no guarantee, but that is where I would start.
