Hey everyone, I took delivery of this '06 M&H BB an hour ago. Bought it off pianomart sight unseen and after a couple of months the movers finally showed up. From the time the truck pulled in til they left couldn't have been more than half an hour, much faster than I expected. Anyway they thought I got a great deal on it ($30k delivered). They also told me I should wait a couple of weeks before having it tuned to give it a chance to settle in. Looks very nice. Played a few notes and the touch seems a bit on the heavy side but to my untrained ears still seems "in tune". My wife's given me the 'you better play this thing or else' look; understandable since it takes up a third of the living room. The thing that sucks is that Olympia WA has no classically trained teachers and, according to Google, only a couple of guys who lean Jazz or Rock who are offering their services. Not interested in Zoom classes. Might have to learn to play this thing solo. I'll live ;-)

Beautiful !

There are several piano teachers listed with mtna.org, and the bet is that most are classically trained

Hey Congrats!

M&H BBs can be quite nice!

I did a quick search and there are definitely some qualified classical piano teachers here:

Hopefully not too far a drive for the value of a good teacher smile

Good luck!

Congratulations! The piano looks great! Best of luck finding a piano teacher! Lessons are great; it’s really wonderful to have someone to coach you on your piano journey. And it sounds like you have a wonderful instrument that will provide a great source of inspiration!

nice looing piano, congrats.

Give the online /Zoom class a chance. I started doing them when the pandemic started and to this day I am still surprised how well it works.

Thank you all. I wish I could have each of you come hang out and take your turns playing it while I watch because, really, I'm a newbie and this thing deserves worthier fingers :-D

Also thanks for the links. Imma check 'em out right now
