Hi guys got a quick question

How the heck do you input the recommended velocity curves for a particular keyboard on pianoteq

Sorry if it’s an amateur question

For example

Kronos
Velocity = [0, 1, 15, 30, 51, 69, 87, 104, 119, 127; 0, 0, 11, 28, 55, 79, 102, 114, 125, 127]

This is provided on pianoteq website

What do I do with these values

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Hi,

A right click on the velocity graphic opens a menu where you can select and manage velocity presets. In this menu you have a paste item. If I am not mistaken you can paste that text into it using that menu item.

I am not at home right so I replying from memory. So I might be wrong here

Cheers

Wow ok...

Thanks I feel like an idiot..

Swear I spent an hour trying to figure out how to do that.... yikes...

Dunno why I didn't see the paste was looking for a box to enter the values for some reason.

Thanks again

Does anyone know if the Kronos values should match the D1 or the built in velocities into the keyboard are different.

The D1 has the same RM3 action..

Will try it out in the office and give feedback on how this particular curve works..

Thanks again.

If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't figure it out at all. I've done it in the past, but it was a long time ago. I was very happy to read this thread.

Not long ago PTq used to give us velocity diagrams based on the coordinates we see now. All you had to do was alter your own curve to suit.

Pls don't. This part of the user interface is not at all intuitive!

Cheers

I was having similar question. I have LP-380 with RH3 action. Although, on Keyscape they have different velocity curves for different keyboards with RH3 action. But it should be similar.

This is what I'm using at the moment with Korg LP-380:

From 0-60 it's almost flat for me. I just is slightly hard to hit the quiet notes easier. It's a bit harder to hit the loud notes, so more adjustment is needed for that.

Velocity = [0, 1, 15, 29, 42, 56, 70, 91, 108, 118, 127; 0, 0, 13, 27, 41, 56, 71, 95, 114, 123, 127]
Sustain Velocity = [0, 37, 74, 127; 0, 42, 77, 127]
