hello!

I got this piano, but I just can't figure out when it was made and by whom, I can't find any information on the Internet.
maybe you have any ideas?

I can't find anything on the internet about that brand, no matter how I spell it (Iohann? Johann? Yohann? Lohann?). Can you post more photos, particularly of the inside of the piano with the front panel removed?
As for the age, to me the carving and candleholders look Art Nouveau, so I'm going to guess the piano is around 120 years old. I could be wrong.

This is a Russian piano. The last name is Wiera, not wieka. Found one for sale at Avita.ru. Not the same piano but the same brand. The page is in Cyrillic so needs to be translated.

My quick thought - whenever I see a name on a fall board that is screwed on, I think of a "stencil piano". A stencil piano is an instrument made by a company and provided to a store or some other entity. They are generally less expensive pianos that are available under a variety of names to anyone who orders a certain number. An example of a stencil piano is the Baldwin Howard of the 1980's and Samick pianos at that time.

IMHO, this is different from an OEM relationship. An OEM relationship is when a manufacturer makes a piano with components and design that are specified to them. hammer design, plate design, scaling, and even rims can be different from the manufacturer. Two current examples of this relationship is the Boston piano, which is assembled by either Kawai or Samick today. Another example is the Matchless Cunningham piano which is assembled by Hailun.

My 2 cents,

Read an interesting detail about the modern practice of stencilling -- don't think it was in this forum. The maker has a plastic, gold-colored nameplate made for the stencil instruments and adheres it to the plate casting, where you would expect the maker's name to be. So it looks like "Joe's Piano Shop", or whatever, is cast into the plate.

A big-city piano dealer here in the Midwest said he could get his name on a piano if he ordered a shipload of them.

This technique of the gold colored plastic badge glued to the plate is also used by some of the big name manufacturers. Very common today.
