I'm in my early 30s and thinking of taking piano lessons again after about 11 years of hiatus due to all the typical things that people in their 20s do (relocating around the country a fair amount for career advancement, shared living with roommates and so on). I've finally settled down in the Worcester, MA area and was fortunate enough to be able to afford a new Kawai 51" upright piano, which I probably will never outgrow skill-wise. The most advanced classical pieces that I could play prior to my hiatus were Chopin Op 64 no 2, op 72 no 1 and Mozart K282 3rd movement, which likely puts me in this nebulous category of "intermediate" players. I'm re-acquainting myself with these pieces and practice an hour a day now.

What is a reasonable rate to pay for lessons in my area? How do I find teachers? Any recommendations? Thanks.

I don’t know the cost of teachers in your area— sorry!

But one source for finding a teacher is mtna.org. You can search by zip code

I found my last teacher by asking my tech
