To "participate" means to post, right? Are we allowed to post if we don't pay? I am from a very poor country (Serbia) and currently unemployed - will it be the right thing to stop posting?

Hi Trickybilly! Yes, you are allowed to post also if you don't pay. There have been some plans to change Piano World to a paid forum though - but that was quite a while ago (two years maybe) and fortunately, we haven't heard anything about it since then. So until further notice, feel free to post your questions!

PS: Welcome to Piano World!

Playing the piano is learning to create, playfully and deeply seriously, our own music in the world.
