If you are like me, and take weeks (months?) to learn new pieces, now is your chance to plan ahead for next year's themed Recitals.

January 2022 - Grieg
April 2022 - "Modern" 20th and 21st century music
July 2022 - Film music
October 2022 - Mendelssohn

Go to the Themed Recital sub-forum if you would like to pledge to play something. There are plenty of choices at all skill levels for each of these themed recitals. Need help picking something? Just ask.

These are in addition to the Quarterly recitals that happen every February, May, August, and November. Don't forget those!

So lots of opportunities to share your music - don't miss out!

I played a Mendelssohn song without words a few years ago but now I think they all sound the same. I would have to find something different but still doable.

I did lots of Grieg this year and last year and am getting a bit tired of it. Maybe I'll bring back one of those pieces but not now.

The other two sound like fun.

However, it's a lot of recitals. I don't think I will have something ready for every recital.

Yes, lots of recitals - but lots of opportunities. And you have months to prepare. One thing I would like to try is recording a piece as soon as I have it ready - no need to wait until the recital opens to record. If you have recordings of some of your Grieg pieces then use those.

And don't forget that we have another themed recital still to go in 2021 - the "Beginner Pieces" recital. Open to players at all levels - just play something at a beginner level.
