Hi All, I have a chance to pick up a lighty used CA97 for USD 2,300 to 2,500. Would I be crazy to take a chance on a 5 year old digital piano? Or does it sound like it would be worth the risk? I haven't seen it yet but let's assume for discussion purposes that it is in very good condition, no guarantees I know. I'm an old retiree who started playing a little over a year ago and although I'm only a late beginner I am feeling the limits of my current DP, a Casio AP470. Any input appreciated, thanks.

A CA97 for $2300 sounds like a great buy. I kind of think of it like an MP11SE with a slightly improved action, premium speaker system with soundboard, more sounds, etc.

You can find used Yamaha Nu1 models for around $3500 ask from time to time. Deals probably clear for less money, so $3000 or less can be done. Nu1 has a real upright action so is another consideration in that price range if something shows up in your area
