Hi,
Is it better to buy right now a CA-99 or waiting for thé next generation?
Do you know when the next generation will be?
Thx

I wouldn't expect a new model before 2023.

Waiting for the next model of a digital piano might be fatal. That’s under a peer review, so don’t yet quote me.

I think that the era of low price inflation is over. The biggest difference between the CA99 and the CA100 may be a higher price tag. Carpe pretium!

And when you join the CA99 club, people will say "Et tu, Alain".
So you won't be "allein" as they say in German. (Alone)
And if you see other CA99 owners in a German pub they'll say "Alain, Prost!" 🍻 ("Cheers", and everyone knows Alain Prost, right?)
I guess that's it. I don't remember any useful Latin phrases from my childhood's Asterix comic books.
Well, I guess after making the purchase it's "Alea iacta est!" 🎲

I found thousands of Latin quotes on the Internet. I can’t believe how useful that is! But only if you like I can copy/paste them. I don’t want to bother you.

My favourite is Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.
And of course it must in italics for the full effect.

Loosely translated, this means that "the better is the enemy of the good", meaning that there is or will always be an even better device. So much for the question of a successor to a CA99, or any other manufacturer. (I tried it in Latin to bring back the old, dusty memories of many tedious hours until the "Abitur").

The slogan should read "The better is the enemy of the good ... but don't hold your breath. Improvements inch along at a snail's pace. Check in every five or ten years if you want to see any meaningful improvement." Google says "Meliore hostium ... non habent spiritum bonum. Aliquam a cochlea per inch in pace. Reprehendo in omnibus quinque aut decem annis, si vis videre, qui se significanter in melius."

How about this dusty truism ".....marketing is the art of getting people to buy things the don`t really need, to pay for them with money they don`t really have, so they can impress others they don`t really like..."
Ok, I'm out now...

This is party true. Marketing is the art of getting people to buy things the don't really need ... Indeed, marketing is all about generating demand for products or services. As for the rest ... ... to pay for them with money they don't really have, so they can impress others they don't really like." Who's to say how the buyer will pay, and who's to say whether he buys to impress?

I use mine to keep my home mice free. My old Sauter does this particularly well. And I also save the costs for the piano tuner. So..... but now I'm really out......😏

Sometimes when I get frustrated with a difficult piece ... I begin to think I bought my piano to annoy MYSELF. I bought my piano to annoy my neighbors.
