Hello,

I would like to recommend this book to anyone interested in solo jazz piano:

https://jeremysiskind.com/product/playing-solo-jazz-piano/

It is not for beginners and even intermedeate may want to start from chapter 5, because stride piano is so technically demanding.

Also check the author´s youtube channel, where many of the concepts are demosntrated:

https://www.youtube.com/c/JeremySiskind

I am finally feeling that I am going in the direction I wanted, after trying many other populars books

One nice thing about having purchased every piano book known to man ... is that when someone recommends a particular book .... I do not have to run out and buy it .... I already have it ... LOL ...

I will give it another look.

I've watched a couple of his videos on youtube, and they are excellent. Great tips and demonstrations on the piano.

I strongly recommend his teaching videos on Youtube - the clearest explanation and application of any I've seen.

The Shearing voicings video cleared up a lot of info for me, especially seeing them applied to Bye Bye Blackbird.
