It must be European, perhaps made in Transylvania?

I've heard of stranger things to be honest.... but it's probably not haunted.

That's my guess too, but it could fit right in at a haunted house.

I heard that there was a significant increase in the number of catholic priests that have been appointed as exorcists in the past couple of years…apparently due to high demand.

Does the piano make noise late at night? What kind of music does it play by itself?

Do you know the history behind the piano? Did it have a previous owner and from a place where a tragedy happened?

I only saw the picture online, so don't know a lot about that particular piano. But your question reminds me of a funny's story.

I recently bought a Baldwin R and one night while it was adjusting to our home it suddenly emitted semi-musical plink. My girls and I were watching one of the Conjuring movies, so we all looked at each other somewhat startled. And then laughed nervously. And then they told me a funnier story...

A couple weeks earlier, they had some old friends over for the first time in quite a long time (since before the pandemic), and they were binge-watching The Haunting of Bly Manor late into the night. The friends had no idea that I've got a new (to me) piano in the front room, and apparently they just about jumped out of their skin when I started playing it. The R was in the room with them, and they could hear piano music with no one playing it.

A bit like the boy who cried wolf, I used to earn a bit by writing short stories, when I had a true ghost story about a piano people weren't sure whether to believe it.

I know what you mean ebonyK. Imagine a hand reaching out of the piano when one was having the instrument tuned? It may be very difficult to find the right technician?😕 He would have to be one of those very rare technicians who are exorcists as well. Usually those use their exorcist skills for their clients, not the pianos...... "no that was not a buzz, it was a growl in the bass"

Never have to tune it!
Perhaps I should hope for a ghost or two. My "ex concert" technician charges high fees.😑 He is worth it though! One older grand and an antique upright really needs care.

Antique pianos might be more likely to be haunted!

I guess I wouldn't complain if the ghost kept the piano in good condition! wink
