Nocturne Sounds is developing a new upright VI. They are fielding feature and technical requests at the vi-control forum (said forum is focused on professional music production).

It is always helpful to have classical piano players provide input to the virtual instrument developers, so comment early and often. CGR got the ball rolling with a nice request list that is worth reading. If anyone prefers to comment here, we will inform the Nocturne Sounds folks that this thread exists.

For reference, Nocturne Sounds has a baby grand piano for 39 quid.

The most useful feedback will be from people in electronic music production, where piano libraries (along other samples like "player noises") are used. Classical pianists like myself use acoustic pianos.
