Gould from January 23, 1951 with the Toronto Symphony in Beethoven’s 1st. See this entry from the website SlippeDisk, which includes the recording itself: "This recording is a transcription of a 78 rpm acetate disc from Gould’s personal collection. It was not intended for commercial release; therefore the sound quality is not of professional standard. The performance remains of very significant artistic and historical value."

It is a very interesting document as such. Unhapilly indeed the sound is not very good. But that version is not to be remembered. I think it makes sense that it was not released. The orchestra part is not very good and Gould plays in a rushed manner which takes away most of the poetic content of the piece. There are plenty of other versions much better than this one. So i think it has value as a testimony of Gould playing style when he was young.
