Just wanted to apologize for making a lot of threads, I just wanna make sure I'm buying the right midi, a Komplete Kontrol s88 has come up for sale and it has touchkeys, its 995 aud, but I can get it for about 900. Touchkeys itself is 2000 dollars AUD, is this a buy or pass for 900 dollars?

Interesting question. The s88 is the previous generation of Komplete Kontrol. If you are not using it with Komplete, however, that should not be a consideration. I have a Komplete Kontrol s61 and have used it for several years as a MIDI controller. It seems to be well made has held up well. I also have a Roli Seaboard so I am aware of playing with the addition expression capabilities. There is certainly some benefit to buying a keyboard that already has the Touchkeys installed. My only reservation would be with regards to the fact that the s88 is a hammer action keyboard. I can certainly see using Touchkeys on a synth style keyboard. Don't know what it would be like on a hammer action. Maybe someone else has experience with that.

Do you know how komplete works? Does the S88 come with a software, I got told the software is free and it works once you have the S88 is that true. If you know about this could you explain to me?

You have the following free software :

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/bundles/komplete-kontrol/

It interacts with your NI keyboard and enable the loading of VST from the keyboard, handling pages of controls : you have page buttons on the S88 which enable you to control more than 8 parameters even if you have only 8 knobs.

I don’t have one, then I can’t tell you from experience.

With « normal » keyboard, controlling parameters can be tedious : enter the MIDI learn mode (if the VST has some) associate each parameter to a knob or a slider. You can be limited to 18 parameters (9 sliders and 9 knobs on my A500pro). Here, only 8 knobs, but with just the page selection, you associate them to 8 parameters. I guess that NKS compatible VSTi put the parameters logically (filter parameters together, idem for ADSR....) but I have no experience.
