No, the CN17 (a KDP110 variant previously distributed by Kawai Europe only) has been discontinued. The successor is the KDP120, which will be sold in all markets.

This is also an updated KDP75 (succeeding the KDP70), which will be sold in some markets but not others. The KDP75 is not publicly listed on the Kawai Global website.

Finally, there are also KDP variants developed exclusively for the China market, which are also not listed on the Global site.

Kind regards,
James

James....
Does Kawai sell more of the KDP 110 compared to the ES110? I would hope your NDAs wouldn't keep you from divulging this harmless info. Basically the real question is, is the home console market larger than for the slabs? I know this is an apples to oranges question being that Kawai sells many more models of consoles, and at much higher price points. But for the slabs that have a rough equivalent console model (KDP110 and ES110 for example), which sells in greater quantities?

I guess they didn't get my memo or see the urgent posts about the ABSOLUTE NECESSITY of having an aux in. I really don't get it- Yamaha is routinely outfitting their boards with an audio interface, which allows a user to augment their sounds quickly and easily with a iPad, making up for the very very very very very very very small number of sounds built-in. Why would Kawai put themselves at such a disadvantage in the market?

I suppose this question doesn't have as much head scratching urgency behind it given that the ES520/920 do have aux in as well as BT audio. But would you please tell the powers that be that the ES110 is not the console market and absolutely requires an Aux In? Pretty please!

I'm afraid I cannot divulge this kind of information.

Thank you for your feedback.

James

Can we expect the "es120" anytime soon, or should I just get the es110?

Good! At first I liked the action, but it started annoying me pretty quickly, LOL. I was really happy when I traded it in for my CLP645. The 120 looks nicer, too, cleaner.

Please be more specific, what was annoying you about the action of the KDP110?

Check how long after the KDP110 was released before the ES110 was released.

There are currently significant chip (including audio chip) shortages worldwide - so I expect that has resulted in some release delays.

Originally I predicted May (this month) as the release month for the ES120, but with these delays it could be June or July. I'm also expecting to see the Yamaha P-135 released thereabouts. Both the ES120 and P-135 should have no problem being superior to Roland's FP-30X.

Given the powerhouse that the DGX670 is @ $800, Expectations are high for 135.

I found it unreasonably loud and clunky with a very hard stop.
