Hi All,

On May 23, 2021, the Dorothy Taubman Seminar of Philadelphia will offer a completely online experience including lectures, a recital, and interactive portions. The Seminar can also be subscribed to and enjoyed later.

I thought the regulars here would like the opportunity to enjoy experts in their field sharing their insight and perspective on piano technique. For more information, visit:

Is this seminar appropriate for early-intermediate players? This interests me. Also tempted to wait a year and do it in person since I live in Philly...

Hi ep923,

In my experience, good information can be pulled from a seminar like this one from every experience level. I have hosted (through Cunningham Piano) several large Taubman seminars in the past and had people attend from advanced beginners and intermediate players right through professional level players. Nobody, AFAIR, felt the time was wasted - and I asked.

That's what I figured, especially given the topic of hand technique and coordination. My piano teacher recommended I look more into Taubman so I just signed up. Thanks for posting!

Great! I hope you have a blast. By the way, any other “in person” session like this costs waaay more than this does, ep923. This is a great way to learn more... and not spend more!

Wow, that's a great price for that level of instruction. It seems like every year, I meet more pianists that have benefited from Taubman's methods.

Just signed up! I already know what I'm going to submit for the masterclass, a passage that I can't imagine how to play without stiffness!

Just a heads up - today is the last day to get an "early bird" registration price of $75.00. After today, you can still register, but the registration price goes up to $100.00.
