Lack of initial prep does make it hard to select a piano but it might be because the pandemic convinced mature piano technicians to finally retire and leave active piano techs busy. Very very busy. As things normalize and piano supply increases dealers can get the pianos in the showroom prepped and ready for in person tryouts. Any lack of prep a piano gets initially can be remedied by visits by a knowledgeable piano tech.

It does take perseverance and determination to work on pianos wearing masks staying 6 feet away from the customers, dragging hand sanitizer along with piano repair tools. Both my family and my piano tech has gotten the vaccine so next time, no masks!!!!

Thank you J&J I will give them the benefit of the doubt and be patient as long as dealers are willing to address any issues before before before I sign or pay anything.

On the other hand, this weekend maybe tough to shop and for RPTs to work due to the gas shortage... Yet another reason to stay in and make music.

I’m beginning to think we’re trapped in a “Back to the Future” movie flashing back and forth from 2021 to 1973. Oh well. This too shall pass. Best Wishes! 😊

But I think discount was not the reason why they were delivered unprepared. I think It's just how dealers operate nowadays in Toronto.

Is that 60% off MSRP?
Actually the discount was around 55%-60% of their sticker price.. But it is pre tax discount.
