Hello. I recently purchased a new Ritmuller UP121. I keep a practice journal so I know how much play the piano has on it. The salesman said to tune it after approximately 3 months. I play it about 90 minutes a day. I'm new to piano and my pieces are "simple".

What information should I have prepared for the technician? I'm starting a list of issues (currently just one item).

Is 3 months satisfactory, or is it better to do tuning after a certain number of hours?

I'm completely new to this kind of work. I appreciate any info you can share. If there is a thread covering these questions I'll be happy to review so you don't have to reiterate. Thank you.

SunnyKeys - from Florida but not the Keys. Learning for 2 years.
Newbie - RCM Level 1 etudes, ABRSM Level 1 2019-20 Exam pieces. Sans exams.

Three months is fine, it's more about it getting used to the environment it is in than how much playing it has had. After that get it tuned once or twice a year depending on how long it takes to get annoying.

New piano...4 times the first year, three times the second year, twice a year after that.

For heaven's sake, don't wait 3 months if the tuning or other issues are bothering you sooner.
