Hi friends!
I've recently taken a liking to the Garritan CFX. The only thing I don't like about it, though, is whenever I change my preset to a different one, the limiter turns back on, half pedaling is off, and a bunch of other things are not reacting the way I would like them to be. Is there a way to keep the essential settings while just changing the sample sets?
Also, what is your favorite preset in playing classical music on the Garritan CFX?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
David

Hi David,

All of these things can be saved as default settings. Make the changes, go to "File - Save as Default" and they will be preserved next time you start the application.

Yes, I have a preset saved as default, using the classic full and my favorite settings. But I would like to have the freedom of retaining half pedaling on, limiter and reverb off, resonances and their levels while auditioning other presets, as these controls are not accessible via a screen reader and it's hard to always get someone to help me tweak remotely. Is there a way to do that?

Yeah, I could do that after tuning a preset, but once I select another preset from the menu, the changes to half pedaling or whatever is missing. For example, I have half pedaling on in the default preset, but if I select "vintage Evans" or "solo piano 1", the settings are all gone.

Ah I see what you need. I'm not aware of a way to only assign half pedaling and not anything else....best of luck finding a solution though!
