Piano Adventures

(1) Exercises 1–20: These are the most famous exercises, and are used to develop finger strength and independence. Each exercise contains a sequence of 8 semiquavers, beginning on C, which is then repeated starting on D, and so on across 2 octaves. The exercise is then repeated in reverse down 2 octaves to the starting C.

(2) Exercises 21–43: This more difficult section is meant to be played after the piano beginner has fully mastered Part (1). Scales and arpeggios are included in this part.

(3) Exercises 44–60: Hanon recommends the piano players to work on this part after mastering the previous 2 parts. This part includes repeated notes, repeated double notes, scales in thirds and octaves, tremolos, etc..

John Thompson’s Easiest Piano Course

I'm not sure why this would be someone's first post in the beginner section.

But it's not, really, just a handful of what you already see the most.

I'm sure there are other posters who will share your reaction (that it's a helpful post) but I think the people who've posted so far were reacting (as I did) to the seemingly randomness of the post. (literally my first thought was "what an odd post")

This is the OP's first ever post here, and it's kind of just like an info-dump. Absolutely no introduction, no contextualization as to "why this post now?" And who is the OP? Is she a teacher? A bookseller? A beginner? Has she used any of these books? Anyone could come up with a similar list of resources by googling (or searching on Amazon) "beginning piano method" etc.

These were my exact thoughts. Just seemed spammy to me.

This same post is plastered across the internet (reddit, quora, etc.) Some forums deleted the post.

Just sharing some ideas which I think may be helpful personally.

Totally new to the forum, still trying to figure out what all members would like to see.

I was taught with Hanon and the obsolete(?) Classics To Moderns. Much later I got introduced to Czerny who I still think is under appreciated. I liked this post, good to see that beginners have so much good material available to them.

We often have adult beginning pianists and want to self-teach. A detailed review of the strengths/weaknesses/differences between the choices would be helpful. You have provided a short synopsis but more detail would be helpful... particularly considering self teaching

People usually ask a question or at least introduce a topic to solicit discussion.

You on the other hand hawked some popular products. I don't see any point of engagement while one poster alleges your are doing the exact same thing elsewhere.
