I've seen a few topics on here about this piano, and I've had the chance to play a Feurich Vienna model at my local dealership today. I had a good amount of time with the piano and found some interesting things out!

It seems that the strung back is produced in China, and then the rest of the construction is completed in Vienna by Feurich. I was very impressed with the action although the keys have a relatively short pivot, even for an upright. To play, the piano felt very precise & according to Feurich's website, the action is produced by Renner.

Possibly the most surprising thing, is that the hammer heads were all marked "C.Bechstein" - I wonder which Bechstein / Hoffmann / Zimmerman models the hammers that they sell to Feurich come from. The tone is very clean and round, with plenty of the same qualities I've found in Hoffmann's that I've played.

Definitely seems like a piano to consider! I'm presently weighing up between this and a Hoffmann T122.

I wish there were more Feurich dealers in the US. I like the sound of them when I hear them on YouTube videos, but I think the closest dealer is about 2000 miles from me. I also want to try a Hoffman, thankfully we do have one of their dealers nearby. Interesting about the Bechstein hammers.

There is a dealer in Chicago. Cheap day trip when pandemics aren’t an issue.
