The world changes and so does Steingraeber along with it, but there is one thing that will never change: The quality of our world-renowned pianos from Bayreuth.
This is the start of a press release which announces a change of name and logo for the Steingraeber pianos. I saw it announced from their English partner Phoenix pianos a week or so ago. I liked their new logo and font. What about you?

I don't dislike it.

We received a couple of long awaited Steingraebers recently and they had the new logo which was a surprise to me. I love it. It looks great, current, and at the same time feels right for this historic company.

It looks more of the modern era than the gothic font of the old logo. Interesting! Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could have legs.

I wonder if the old one will be retained for special orders? Someone will want to pay tribute to the old days.

Logo looks fine. Those T's though, not digging the font. Old font being strange and hard to read had much better differentiation.

From a bit far away, when people see an S like that with a word that's that length, they'll think Steinway-n-Son.

I love the new logo.

And, in an almost unbelievable coincidence, my sources tell me that Steingraeber is going to open their first factory owned selection center here in the U.S. in the near future.

It will be conveniently located in the suburbs of Roswell, NM

I'm afraid it is not a coincidence. The grand opening of the Selection Centre will also be the unveiling of the new font. All the pianos there will sport the new logo and none until then.

To go along with the Roswell motif, the graphic is actually a UFO.

Are they also going to sponsor a new music festival... Bayreuth in New Mexico, and contract the Santa Fe Opera to mount a Martianic version of the Ring?
I’d buy tickets!

I'm ok with the new logo, but I'm really gonna miss strolling down to my freundliche Nachbarschaft Steingraeber Laden. frown

If you're getting a new one, how much would you be selling the old one for?

Well, the E272 we have at the moment is stunning and particularly special so it is definitely my favorite right now. The 170 may be the most impressive piano pound for pound. I kind of love all of our Steingraebers right now. The answer is really whichever one is best and most insightfully prepped that I am playing!
