I heard this today. I haven’t heard it for a while and never really appreciate it as much as I should have.

I never realised how genius it actually was.

The way the tone changes at the start and end is quite sublime.

Has anybody ever taken a classical piece and used the music in such a respectful way as this?

Don’t practice until you get it right. Practice until you can’t get it wrong.

Thank you treefrog, this was very beautiful. I would love to have that one with a better recording! And they couldn't even get a proper piano bench for poor Barry. But it was beautiful!

I'm not sure about respectful, though I think that is irrelevant, that was nicely done. I have a recording of the original, if anyone is interested for comparison.

@ Treefrog. A long time ago I borrowed a book from my library with piano scores of pop songs and the piano pieces that they were inspired by. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the book, but I found this website for you:

Just wow, the change at around 1:25 is just something, and then around the 3:55 minute mark, just honestly.

You've all probably heard this, but:

Or this version which shows the score, complete with audience laughter:

That's amazing that a 10 year old can arrange that even if it is just "rock".
