I need to replace all of the bridle straps on a 1911 Mason & Hamlin E3. I happen to have a set of green straps but would much prefer the original straps which are a bit wider and a golden yellow color. Perhaps they were once white and yellowed over the century, but if I had to guess, they were originally golden. Is anyone manufacturing straps in this color? Thanks

I only see them coming in white these days. But do you really think this is important?

You could always buy tape (you can get it on ebay) and a set of nice leather tape ends, dye the tape your preferred colour and make your own new set of tapes. But I really really don;t think the colour is important!

Good advice on dyeing my own.. I like that idea. Color matching is easier said than done.

It's this kind of thinking that has led the industry to lime green bridle straps with red ends! LOL.
