Hi seniors, most modern digital sampling are realistic and sound great to me.
Anyone mainly use external sterio speakers and preferred it more? How it improve your playing experience?

I get a sense that many people here use external speakers with the piano.

For me it's a necessity. The piano sounds are terrible so I use virtual instruments, which necessitates external speakers.

You have so much time. You can devote it to the sound of the piano, or the playing of the piano. One will improve your skill level, which will make you and the piano sound much better. T'other will maybe improve the piano sound only.
The first will get results fastest imo.

Most out of the box kits really should be paired with a subwoofer. At regular volume, I really don't see a need for monitors. Monitors almost always sound better because it's in a proper speaker enclosure often with a tweeter and ported for bass extension.
