How do you come up with an appraisal value? I am comfortable enough coming up with a market value, but I’m not sure how an appraisal works out differently. For instance, if a piano was rebuilt but the piano’s market value is below the cost of the rebuild how do you assess that in an appraisal? (Or does it not even matter?)

Thanks for any advice.

You can name 3 values. Cash value, market value and replacement value which is what the same or similar item would cost new from dealer, market value, what one would expect to pay from a dealer and cash value, a kijiji ad.
