There are no lack of threads about issues with DPs. Wondering if it is the chicken or the egg? Does reading threads about something as bouncy, heavy feel, light feel, sound, etc. hold back your potential or make you start to obsess and make it hard to concentrate?

Pete14 is that your alt account. grin ?

On-topic, Yes I very much feel that there is a disturbance in the force which binds me to the traditional acoustic. I revel in its historical sensitivity and connection, but at the same time, I find that its maintenance is resource and time consuming making it simply an impractical artifact for modern living.

- Threads about genuine issues
- Comments on threads about genuine issues, which are not really issues
- Threads about issues, which are not really issues

I think there is value in these threads and comments. I don't believe anyone will lose concentration or suffer loss in potential.

Almost everyone here is wholly capable of making the right conclusions after reading. Including what to discard and what to keep. There will be some who are influenced by what they read, but again it is ultimately their decision. This is a beautiful forum full of information. Information is always vital - and it will be of some use now or later, even years down the lane. This is the case with any society. Personally, the only caution I have had to take was to control the amount of time I spend here laugh I have not had a lack of concentration or loss of potential from being here. There are times when the opposite has happened - slight or strong motivation to practice and learn more about DPs.

EinLudov - even acoustics have issues, no?

A man must love a thing very much if he practices it without any hope of fame or money, but even practice it without any hope of doing it well. Such a man must love the toils of the work more than any other man can love the rewards of it.

Forums tend to magnify the perception of problems.

Also they can become an echo chamber.

One very vocal poster can post in multiple spots making it appear there are many people with the same concern.
