For those of you associated with the piano/music industry...

One of our own needs help...

Bob Saari: Musician, Composer combating Parkinson’s Disease

[Linked Image]

Bob worked in the music industry for 46 years with The Wurlitzer Company, Baldwin Piano and Organ Company, Petrof, Pearl River, and Schaefer and Sons. Bob also composed music and is a member of ASCAP http://robertsaaricomposer.com. Sue has a Doctor of Music in Composition from The Ohio State University, and has taught music at the elementary, secondary, and University levels. Sue’s recent passion has been growing native plants http://gonativesnow.com.

This is a call from a team of former music industry associates of Bob Saari to help provide urgent assistance that Bob and his wife Sue require during the coming months. Bob has been fighting Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson’s dementia for several years. His condition has advanced to where he requires daily homecare assistance. Sue had been Bob’s sole caregiver but recently has had to hire daytime assistance. To complicate matters, Sue’s total knee replacement surgery several years ago failed, causing a severe infection that required surgery. On February 15, Sue had reconstructive total knee replacement surgery and now both Bob and Sue require 24/7 homecare assistance.

Homecare service is extremely expensive and unfortunately is not covered under the Saari’s insurance and Medicare programs. They anticipate a minimum expense of $50,000 for their upcoming homecare needs. The Saari’s have already used most of their savings on Bob’s medical expenses and are worried that what’s left will not cover the pending homecare charges. Regrettably, Bob and Sue find it necessary to sell and find a smaller home.

We are reaching out to you for immediate financial assistance. Your personal donation to Bob and Sue Saari, which is not tax deductible, will be used exclusively to help pay for their current homecare services. To make a credit card contribution, click on CONTRIBUTE to navigate to the GoFundMe website https://gofund.me/b9fdb6af.

We thank you in advance for your compassion and generous contribution. Also, would you please forward this urgent email to your social media friends. We desperately need help in spreading our message to as many people as possible to help Bob and Sue.

Bob’s support team.

Thanks for posting this announcement Frank. Bob is a longtime colleague of mine from the 20+ years we both worked at Baldwin. It is gratifying to see all the support they are getting from folks in the piano industry to help them in this time of great need.
