Recently I wanted to order a few sets of the Optimized Balance Washers from www.pianoteile.com, to hopefully lighten the action of my piano. However I failed miserably because they are a wholesale store in Germany and have to abide by their domestic civil code, which prohibits selling to individuals. I explained that I live in the US, but they still asserted that they can only sell to companies. This is very frustrating. What would you advise people?

you can buy "over one rail". I did it via Thomann in Germany. Its a Musicstore an they can buy there. It will be a bit more expensive.

Thanks Andymania! What does “over one rail” mean? Should I contact their customer service or email them? Thanks!

it means, that you ask a music-dealer or a piano technician to buy the piece you want from Jahn (pianoteile.com). This dealer sells it to you.
