Please help a fifteen-year-old guy from the Murmansk region. He is a very versatile person and asks ALL for help. He wrote on YouTube Maximillyan to one of my video comments. He asked me what Chinese tuning hammer he should buy on Amazon. I explained that it would be better him that has used old hammer, but it is obliged to be reliable. Therefore, I asked Yegor to write about himself.
I hope that somebody of the visitors to our forum will not remain indifferent to the request of Yegor who need hammer.
Yegor wrote about himself there: "My name is Yegor Kabanov.
I am 15 years old, I am in the 9th grade.
I am a creative and cultural person, I am engaged in music, composing,
I am a classical composer. I send my works to the Olympiads, I take 1st and 2nd places.
I am a writer, I write poetry.
Wrote and composed music for 2 songs, 3 are still in the works more. My musical creativity

2. https://disk.yandex.ru/d/vejBRzvSoRuWvA

I am engaged in kitchen, food preparation. I bake cakes.
I am engaged in the repair of electronic equipment, I solder, I know radio engineering, I repair devices for friends.
I am engaged in 3D modeling, design, 3D printing. I participate in Olympiads in 3D technologies, representing my school and am the commander of my unique team! I taught lessons on 3D technologies, I am not a great speaker, but I am excellent at designing and writing sentences, especially for guys of my age, with culture in our country everything is bad, we are not in the 18th century now even, sorry.
I repair sewing machines, electrical wiring too.
I am a versatile person, I do a lot of things. And I do well everywhere.
I repair piano action at our music school.
After all, they call the tuner once a year from distant cities for a lot of money, they pay him for living in our city.
And he just tunes the piano, as I looked at the results of his work.
Many pianos have labeled keys that no one has played in years because the tuner comes in and tunes, and the tuners don't hold the string.
For some reason, he does not repair such tuners.
He doesn't repair the mechanics well, if he does it at all.
Therefore, I help our school and repair the fall (marker) keys, damper and damper half travel too. In general, I repair everything I can. I have not 30 years of experience, but I know how to do it.
I do it for free. We have a great relationship with the director of music school, and he very wanted me to tune our school pianos too.

I will be very happy to send him a tuning lever.

Is that number a landline or a mobile phone (cellphone) number?

I think it would be a good idea to remove Yegor's address and phone details from the Forum. It is never a good idea to publish personal details online like that.

yes, David. Thank you for responding to Yegor's request. Let's hope that soon you will be able to make this talented guy happy. Yegor's music school will be able to partially have a reliable rear in face of young tuner, I'm think there .
As for the phone number and address, he sent them to me in the comments to the video. If you think they need to be removed, then yes, I will remove them now.
If someone wants to communicate with Yegor, then I will give a phone number and his address.
It's Yegor's cell phone. He wrote to me that he was needed to receive the package.
David, Egor would be happy to receive a letter from you to his e-mail. Write to him. He speaks English, I'm think.
I sincerely express my gratitude to you for your desire to help the guy.
Regards, Max

I ask the moderator to delete Yegor's phone number and address. I do not know how to do that!

Having watched videos about using CA glue as a wood finish, I decided to try it on the handle of the lever I'm sending to Yegor. The varish or lacquer that was on the handle was brittleand crumbling and would have cut hands to shreds. So I sanded back to bare wood and tried the CA.

It would have been possible to achieve a much smoother finish than shown here, but this was done in a day and is quite respectable. The white lines are just the reflection of the fluorescent tube.

Yegor wrote to me that when he needed to fix some sounds (pins) on the school piano (tuning it's), he used a car lever. He dipped cloth into the head socket of a lever so as not to damage the edges of the pins here.
Your lever in the photo is admirable. It's great! "Royal Lever" now.

Well, they are all tools that were 'spares' picked up in various ebay and other sales. I enjoyed polishing them up a bit, to improve the look (I recently bought a set of buffing wheels and polishes for use on a converted bench grinder).

I tried to include materials that would be useful for common repairs such as I've encountered myself. Should also have included some bridle tapes and bridle tape ends, I guess.

I particularly enjoyed the result of sanding and re-finishing the wood handle of the Fletcher & Newman tuning lever. I should have taken a "before" photo. The finish on it (varnish or polyester, I don't know) was so cracked and crumbled that it would have ripped the palm of the user to shreds. This was my first time trying CA as a wood finish, and I am delighted with its ease of use and rapidity.

The Fletcher & Newman tuning lever was a popular model in the UK. A gooseneck lever, but of good quality, and many tuners spent their whole career using one of those.
